International Link @ UCI is an original academic partnership established by UC Irvine’s School of Social Sciences to enrich California’s secondary school curriculum in global studies. This is accomplished by equating existing university-level concepts and knowledge into a curriculum that is age proper for high school trainees. The international research studies knowledge-gap in our public schools is a vital problem that needs a flexible and immediate action. Trainees require lessons they can connect to as international residents that will impact how they see themselves in the world. They need to be capable of believing in terms of around the world concerns to be successful in their respective lives and professions so that they may add to the basic welfare of society. This can not be achieved through textbook curriculum that is dated by the time it is received by students. Educators can not desert their class responsibilities to get present knowledge of the quickly shifting worldwide environment. International conflicts and problems need to be given the trainees as existing events not as history.
